Welcome to the website of the International Card-Game of Justice (IGJ)! The IGJ is an educational card game based on the case law of the International Court of Justice, the Permanent Court of International Justice and the Permanent Court of Arbitration. The IGJ is designed for law students and international legal enthusiasts that desire to engage with international case law in a playful manner. However, the card game can also played by and with non-lawyers if one ignores the advanced rules.
On this website you can order your own set(s) of the International Game of Justice, learn more about the components of the game, familiarise yourself with the rules, read about legal card games in history, and leave comments/feedback.
After the phenomenal success of the first four editions of the IGJ, the 5th and latest edition includes the following 15 new cases bringing the total number of cases to 47: SS Lotus, North Sea Continental Shelf, Mavrommatis Palestine Concessions, Chorzów Factory, SS Wimbledon, Island of Palmas, Whaling in the Antarctic, Status of Eastern Carelia, Oscar Chinn, Status of Eastern Greenland, Certain German Interests in Polish Upper Silesia, Clipperton Island Arbitration, Kasikili/Sedudu Island, Pulp Mills, Lighthouses in Crete and Samos.
The 5th edition of the IGJ now allows for the customisation of the eminent publicist cards.
